The Lipetsk Bayanist Trio
Merited Artists of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Melnik, Viktor Karpiy and Sergey Yelchaninov, winners of All-Russian and international competitions
The ensemble was created in 1975 at the Voronezh State Institute of Arts and invited to the Lipetsk Philharmonic.

The repertoire of the Lipetsk Trio is diverse and versatile — the musicians perform Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Neoclassical music. Original music pieces occupy an important place, too: the Trio performs the pieces Alexander Timoshenko, Yuri Romanov, Vyacheslav Chernikov, and Victor Novikov.

The Lipetsk bayanists have drawn applause in the Far East, Siberia, the Urals and the Black Earth Country (Russia), they have been warmly welcomed in Germany, Poland, Bulgaria, Denmark, Italy, China and other countries. They participated in large festivals, including the V. Gridin All-Russian Music Festival, World Musical Mass, XV International Festival Bayan and Bayanists, III International Festival Vivat, Bayan!, I International Festival of Bayan and Accordion orchestras Siverskaya Spring.

The Trio is a laureate of the 1978 All-Union Creative Relay, the II All-Russian competition of performers on folk instruments in 1979, the II International Competition of Bayan and Accordion Performers in 1991, the 1997 International Competition Citta di Castelfidardo.
